Carbyn Creek Wildlands is stewarded by Edmonton and Area Land Trust
(EALT), a registered charity that conserves nature in Edmonton and area and engages people and communities in land conservation and stewardship.
Carbyn Creek Wildlands is located close to Cross Lake Provincial Park, as well as several other Crown Lands, significant lakes, natural areas and other types of protected lands. Collectively, they provide significant habitat for wildlife, and conserving this area assures landscape connectivity for wildlife as they live and move in the area.
Lu Carbyn, a renowned wildlife biologist and Adjunct Professor from the University of Alberta, donated this land to EALT in 2023. Because of the diversity of wildlife at this land, it has been the site of research projects, student field trips, and educational walks. Lu has entrusted his vision of Carbyn Creek Wildlands to remain a site for research, education, and nature appreciation to EALT.
Your donation to the Carbyn Creek Wildlands Stewardship Fund will help EALT continue to steward this land in perpetuity.
