The Edmonton and Area Land Trust (EALT) is a registered charity that conserves nature in Edmonton and area and engages people and communities in land conservation and stewardship.
The Conservation Endowment Fund supports EALT in achieving its vision of a network of forests, river valleys, wetlands, lakes, and farmlands in Edmonton and area conserved as a legacy for future generations.
As the region’s land trust, securing new lands that benefit people and nature is a top priority. EALT secures land primarily through land donations and conservation easements. Once secured, EALT stewards the lands in its care, ensuring the ecological and other values are maintained in perpetuity. Land stewardship is some of EALT’s most important work – and it is ongoing, forever.
The Conservation Endowment Fund helps EALT meet its commitments to steward its conservation lands. Your donation to this fund will help EALT undertake annual field work, stewardship activities, and special projects that maintain the biodiversity and ecological integrity of its lands for public benefit.
