Hanna was a creative and talented artist. She saw beauty in everything when no one else could. She loved life, and cherished fun and beautiful things. Compassionate and kind, her short life (May 26, 1990-Feb 26, 2025) was defined by sharing everything she had with the less privileged and less perfect individuals. Hanna had deep empathy for persons with barriers and other physical, mental or developmental disabilities and wanted to be an advocate for them. The intents and purposes of the Fund is to support Qualified Donees to undertake charitable activities and/or programs in the greater Edmonton area that
(a) assist people who live in difficult circumstances, including but not limited to homelessness, poverty, hunger, illness, natural or manmade disaster or violence, with highest priority given to assisting individuals who are homeless by providing meals, care, shelter and/or housing services; and/or
(b) assist people in overcoming barriers by providing support services for positive transitions related to homelessness, addiction, and/or mental health challenges; and/or
(c) assist people experiencing addiction and/or mental health issues and/or their families.
To carry on what Hanna strived for, anyone can join in and be the voice for artists or other persons with barriers.
