Erin Kern was a young woman whose life was taken far too soon through a senseless act of intimate partner violence. She was a cherished daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, and friend to many. Her loss has left an abyss in the lives of those who knew and loved her and in the communities she was part of.
The EMK Fund has been set up in her memory to help support women and children facing domestic violence and youth experiencing crisis. Funds raised will be directed to women’s shelters and agencies such as Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS) to provide opportunities to escape situations like Erin’s before another life is needlessly and tragically lost.
