For over 100 years, YWCA Edmonton has been a trusted source of support, empowerment, and advocacy for women, children, and gender-diverse people. The Lilley family, with their deep connection to our organization, believes that by providing the right supports and tools, we can continue to build a future of equity, opportunity, and choice for all. Their commitment is rooted in compassion, empathy, and action – values that create lasting change in our community.

Your donation today will help ensure that YWCA Edmonton can continue its vital work for the next 100 years and beyond. Together, we can build a stronger, safer, more equitable future for generations to come.

YWCA Edmonton is a powerful voice for equity and has been leading social change and progress for women and families in the Edmonton region since 1907. As a proud member of the international YWCA movement and YWCA Canada, the nation’s oldest and largest women’s social service organization, we stand as an influential voice for equity. At YWCA Edmonton, our commitment to transforming lives and fostering a stronger, healthier, and more equitable community is unwavering. YWCA Edmonton is dedicated to reducing barriers and increasing accessibility to our services.

Our mission is to advocate for equity through a woman’s perspective, educating, empowering and inspiring those we serve. Our vision is a community with equity, opportunity, and choice for all.

Counselling Services | We offer affordable mental health supports to those in need through a sliding-scale fee model. We provide more than 3,500 hours of counselling to approximately 400 clients annually, prioritizing applicants who are women, BIPOC, LGBTQS2+, Indigenous, youth-at-risk, and individuals with disabilities.

Disability Services | We serve adults and children with disabilities and/or medical fragility from across Alberta, the NWT, and Nunavut. Our Disability Services serves close to 200 children and adults with disabilities each year, empowering them to achieve their full potential through community support.

Youth Programs | We create a safe and welcoming environment for youth to ask questions, learn critical thinking skills, and share with their peers. We address a variety of topics including: healthy relationships, financial literacy, and civic engagement.

Camp Yowochas | Camp Yowochas is YWCA Edmonton’s highly regarded outdoor education center and summer camp, hosting more than 9,400 children, youth, and adults each year.

Healing Haven Retreats | Indigenous-led healing retreats for family members of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people. These land and art-based gatherings honour the memories of missing and murdered Indigenous, women, and Two-Spirit people.

Water’s Edge Retreat | Providing women and children living in the shelter system with weekend retreats, fostering family reconnection and healing in the serene environment of Camp Yowochas.

Advocacy | We advocate for equity in our community, inclusive of all. Our advocacy aims to end gender-based violence, achieve economic equality, reduce barriers to social supports, and foster leadership in women and girls.

Our endowment funds support emerging and priority needs in the greater Edmonton community, now and for generations to come. Donate to a fund
