ECF works in Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional lands of diverse First Nations including the Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishnabe (Salteaux), and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), and within the Métis homelands of the North Saskatchewan River Territory. These lands have long been places of gathering, ceremony, and community for many Nations. We honour this history and are inspired by Indigenous principles such as Seven-Generation thinking. As we are guided by those who came before, we act with care for those who will follow.
