Podcast (podcasts): Play in new window | Download
On today’s episode, Trevor Phillips joins us to share his thoughts on integration, the currency of outrage, and why it’s important to keep having conversations about race, even if you don’t always get it right.
Trevor Phillips has a great deal of experience talking about race. He is the founding chair of the UK’s Equality and Human Rights Commission, and was previously the Chair of the Commission for Racial Equality. He is the creator of the thought provoking film: Things We Don’t Say About Race That Are True. And, he is the author of Windrush: The Irresistible Rise of Multi-Racial Britain.
Trevor will be presenting his talk, Equality and Integration: Why we can’t afford to fail, for the Edmonton Shift Lab Speaker Series. The event will take place on November 29th. You can buy your tickets here!
Trevor Phillips is the third and final speaker of this series. Previous guests were Shelly Tochluk and Daryl Davis. You can find our interviews with Shelly and Daryl on Episodes 27 and 30 of the Well Endowed Podcast.
