Lead. Guide. Connect.

The Board of Directors plays a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and long-term vision of Edmonton Community Foundation. Board members provide oversight and governance, helping to ensure that our programs, policies, and financial stewardship align with our mission to strengthen the community by connecting donors to the causes they care about most.

Serving on the Board is a rewarding opportunity to contribute your expertise, lived experience, and leadership to one of the largest community foundations in Canada. Board members work closely with ECF’s leadership team, staff, and other volunteers to support a wide range of initiatives—from granting and community engagement to impact investing and donor relations.

Board recruitment occurs periodically, and we are always open to hearing from individuals who are passionate about building a more inclusive, connected, and resilient Edmonton.

We especially welcome expressions of interest from people with diverse backgrounds and identities, including Indigenous peoples, racialized and ethnocultural communities, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, persons with disabilities, and those with lived experience in areas relevant to our granting priorities.

If you’re committed to community building and excited to contribute your insight at a governance level, we invite you to learn more about what it means to serve on ECF’s Board.
