Did you know?
- ECF awarded $1.7M in student awards, including $894K to 333 Belcourt Brosseau Métis Award recipients and $493K to 197 Hilltop Award and Bursary recipients.
- In 1989, the Poole and Stollery families seeded ECF with $15 million. Since then, generous gifts from the Winspear Foundation, the Foote family and thousands of donors have built endowments of all sizes.
- Over 200 volunteers across 20 committees contribute nearly 1,000 hours annually, guiding granting decisions, investments and community initiatives.
- Donors create funds starting at $10,000 (buildable over 10 years). We invest them and grant 4.5% annually, forever.
- ECF’s Social Enterprise Fund is one of Canada’s most active impact investors, having invested more than $90M in social enterprises since 2008.
