Roots that Reach Learning

Muttart Theatre, Stanley A. Milner Library — 7 Sir Winston Churchill Sq.

What does it take to build a strong, healthy, and vibrant community? And what can we learn from the people who have spent decades helping shape the places we call home?

In every community, there are leaders whose guidance, volunteerism, and philanthropy encourage true growth and foster genuine connections. At ECF, we recognize that there is so much to gain from hearing the stories and experiences of our community leaders, and we wanted Edmontonians to have opportunities to listen, learn and be inspired.

That is why ECF is launching Roots that Reach, a new event series where leaders and elders share their thoughts on how to encourage and develop stronger, healthier communities.

Our Inaugural Event: Edmonton’s South Asian Community

For our first Roots that Reach event, we’re turning our attention to Edmonton’s South Asian community and its significant contributions to the cultural, social, and economic fabric of our city. This event is presented in partnership with the Edmonton Public Library and The Sifarish Network, and will be moderated by former Edmonton Mayor and Federal Minister of Natural Resources Amarjeet Sohi.

Join us for an evening of storytelling and conversation featuring:
