Vital Signs: Building the Foundation for Edmonton’s Future News & Resources

Our 2026 Vital Signs Report is on its way!

Edmonton Vital Signs® helps identify the status of Edmontonians and the health of the region we live in. As a national initiative conducted by participating community foundations across Canada, the Edmonton Vital Signs® Report identifies key conditions shaping everyday life in our community. It serves as a valuable resource and teaching tool for decision-makers, policymakers, and frontline organizations working across our region.

For the 2026 report, Vital Signs®: Building the Foundation for Edmonton’s Future, we partnered with market research firm Stone-Olafson to gather primary public perception data from over 1,100 residents across the Edmonton Metro Region. To deepen our research, we also collaborated with the Community-University Partnership (CUP) for the Study of Children, Youth, and Families at the University of Alberta to deliver a dedicated focus on topics from affordability and livability to early childhood development (ages 0–6) across healthcare, early learning, education, and social services.

In addition to our annual impact report, we focus on individual community issues periodically throughout the year through our Vital Topics series.
