Barb was a kind, thoughtful, and caring person whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. With a heart as generous as the time she so willingly gave, Barb always went above and beyond to bring happiness to others, often putting the needs of those around her before her own.
Whether through a thoughtful gesture, a helping hand, or simply being there when someone needed her, Barb had a remarkable way of making others feel loved, valued, and appreciated. Her compassion, selflessness, and genuine care for others were defining qualities.
To honour Barb’s life and the values she exemplified, this fund has been established to support two meaningful charitable organizations: Grace United Church and the Parkinson’s Association of Alberta.
Faith played an important role in Barb’s life. The fellowship and community of Grace United Church not only gave Barb a place to worship but also a Church Family that she treasured dearly.
Because Parkinson’s disease personally affected her, Barb understood the challenges faced by those living with the condition. Supporting the Parkinson’s Association of Alberta honours that part of her journey while helping others also affected by the disease.
Barb will forever be remembered as a loving sister, a devoted auntie, a proud and cherished “Grauntie,” and a dear friend to so many. The love she shared, the relationships she nurtured, and the countless acts of kindness she extended throughout her life will remain treasured memories for those who knew her.
Through this fund, Barb’s family hopes to carry forward the values she lived by while supporting two organizations that held personal significance in her life, allowing future generations to benefit from their work.
