Official Contest Rules
1. Contest Sponsor
This contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by Edmonton Community Foundation (“ECF”), located at 9910 103 St NW, Edmonton, Alberta.
2. Eligibility
The Contest is open to ECF Fund Founders, residing in Alberta, who are invited to the Portal between April 15, 2026 and July 15, 2026 .
Employees, directors, officers, and contractors of Edmonton Community Foundation, and members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible to enter.
3. Contest Period
The Contest begins on April 30, 2026 at 12:00:01 a.m. Mountain Time (MT) and ends on July 15, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. MT (the “Contest Period”). Entries received outside this period will not be eligible.
4. How to Enter
To be entered in the Contest, eligible participants must successfully log in to the ECF Founders Portal at edmontoncommunityfoundation.my.site.com/donorportal/s/login/ during the Contest Period.
Each eligible fundholder who completes this step during the Contest Period will receive one (1) entry. Limit of one (1) entry per fundholder. No purchase is necessary to enter to win.
5. Prize
There is one (1) prize available: a $200.00 CAD grant contribution awarded directly by ECF to the registered charity selected by the winner.
The prize has no cash value and cannot be transferred, substituted, or redeemed for cash. The grant contribution will be issued directly to the registered charity selected by the winner within 12 business days of prize confirmation. Edmonton Community Foundation reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.
6. Odds of Winning
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
7. Winner Selection
One (1) winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries on or around July 16, 2026 at ECF’s offices in Edmonton, Alberta. The draw will be conducted by an ECF representative.
The selected entrant will be notified by email using the address associated with their Founders Portal account within 24 hours of the draw. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within 7 business days, or is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected by random draw.
8. Skill-Testing Question
Before the prize is awarded, the selected winner must correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question. Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected.
9. Conditions of Entry
By entering the Contest, participants agree to:
- Abide by these Official Contest Rules and ECF’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest;
- Release and hold harmless ECF and its respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liability arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance/use of the prize;
- Permit ECF to use their name, fund name for prize announcement purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected through the Contest will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Contest and notifying the winner. ECF will handle all personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at https://ecf.ca/privacy-policy/, and applicable Canadian privacy legislation.
11. General Conditions
ECF reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest at any time without notice if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond ECF’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest.
This Contest is subject to all applicable federal and provincial laws and regulations, including the Competition Act (Canada) and the Criminal Code (Canada). Void where prohibited.
This Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
