The Cosmopolitan Music Society (affectionately called Cosmo) has been enhancing our community through musical enrichment, education, and entertainment for over 60 years.
Christine was an active member from 2009 until her passing in September 2020. She joined the Chorus and the Beginner Band learning to play the flute, and quickly became an integral part of the organization.
Christine embraced all that Cosmo had to offer, taking part in extra programs such as Jazz singing and a percussion ensemble. She volunteered within the Wednesday Band, helped out at in-house concerts and served on the Board of Directors in a variety of capacities.
An avid member of the Chorus, Christine took part in all activities including the very thrilling trip to sing at Carnagie Hall.
We honour Christine’s many contributions and friendship by creating an endowment fund in her name.
This fund will offer qualifying individuals financial assistance with the annual ensemble fees due each fall.
Disbursement of the assistance will be at the discretion of the Music Director.
This Endowment Fund is managed by the Edmonton Community Foundation and will continue in perpetuity.
