Janice Pelletier has always had a passion for women’s issues and believes that women are THE key to healthy families and communities. Establishing the Investing in Women’s Futures – Pelletier Family Fund is a way to put resources towards building on the resilience of women in our community.
At one time, Janice was a single parent and knows how much better her life was because of the support she received from family, friends and community. She was able to draw on that support to make a better life for herself and her children. Janice believes the strength and determination she has is common among women. She created this fund to create similar opportunities of support for women in the Edmonton area.
The purpose of the fund is to assist vulnerable and/or marginalized women with pathways out of poverty, giving priority to helping Indigenous, immigrant and/or refugee women.
