March 20th, 2024 On behalf of Emco Waterworks Edmonton (PC 765), I am thrilled to announce the establishment of our new scholarship program, the “Lubicon Lake Band Community Development Fund”. As a wholesale distributor for water & wastewater products, we are very proud to participate in the construction of the Lubicon Lake Band community. The “Lubicon Lake Band Community Development Fund” has been created with the objective of supporting and recognizing indigenous students pursing post-secondary education and/or research in the province of Alberta. We firmly believe that investing in the education and development of promising individuals is a crucial step toward building a brighter future for all Canadians. Key details about the Lubicon Lake Band Community Development Fund: Eligibility – Indigenous students enrolled in good standing in a qualified program in the geo-sciences, which includes but is not limited to the study of civil engineering and/or construction engineering, at a qualified school who: a) are permanent residents of Alberta; and b) provide proof of enrolment in their second, third or fourth year of studies. Applications – Can be made directly to the Edmonton Community Foundation or through the students’ post-secondary institutions’ application process. Award Amount – $1,500 annually We believe that the Lubicon Lake Band Community Development Fund will not only provide financial assistance but also serve as a source of inspiration for recipients to continue excelling in their pursuits. We kindly request your support in spreading the word about this opportunity within your institution and community. Thank you, Brad David
